Harrisburg Regional Chamber Chamber & CREDC Hosts Capital Region Job Fair

HARRISBURG (March 8, 2007 ) -- The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & Capital Region Economic Development Corporation (HRC/CREDC) will hold its annual Capital Region Job Fair, Friday, April 13, 10 am-3pm, at the Hilton Harrisburg in downtown Harrisburg.

Nearly fifty companies participated in the event last year; companies representing the regional business community offering career and internship opportunities. Sixty companies are expected to attend this year.

Over 600 individuals attended in 2006. There is no cost to attend. Attendees are asked to bring their resume and dress to impress.

"The job fair was created to assist college students and individuals in the community who are seeking employment or seeking a career change," stated Linda Goldstein , Vice President & COO of CREDC. "We have been hosting the job fair for the past few years and the event continues to grow. Every year, the number of exhibitors has increased, as well as the number of attendees and that expectation stands for this year."

The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC serves as a catalyst for promoting growth and quality of life in Cumberland , Dauphin and Perry Counties by providing a unique blend of business, community and economic development and advocacy services under one roof to boost our economic vitality and livability as a region. HRC/CREDC has been accredited with four stars from the United States Chamber of Commerce.
