Murata Business Center Adds New Member to Their Advisory Board
HARRISBURG (May 21, 2008 ) -- The Murata Business Center added a new member to their advisory board for 2008 – Deena Malley, Director of Business Development for the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania.
Deena Malley has more than 15 years of successful experience working with Fortune 150 companies, federal and state government agencies, and small businesses. She is the former owner of Susquehanna Business Services, an independent program and project management consulting services firm. Malley is a resident of York County. Her professional and community affiliations include: York County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors, Gamut Theatre Board of Directors, The Tuesday Club Board of Governors, Pennsylvania Chamber of Business & Industry, Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC, Project Management Institute, The Pennsylvania Society, United Way of the Capital Region Bridges Society, and the Pennsylvania Area Council of Boys & Girls Clubs. She is a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a native of Punxsutawney, PA.
“Deena will be an excellent addition to the Advisory Board,” stated Karen Gunnison, Executive Director at the Murata Business Center. “Being a former small business owner, she will bring a unique perspective to the table. We are looking forward to working with her.”
The Murata Business Center is a 30,000 square foot business incubator owned and operated by the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC. Murata provides many different services, support and affordable rent to start-up companies. It is largely supported by private and public sector contributions to the organization, as well as rental income. It is staffed by the Executive Director, Facilities Manager-Alex Quigley and two part-time Administrative Assistants- Kathy Kirk and Janet Hosey, as well as supported by the staff at the Chamber & CREDC. It is a state designated Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) and companies located in the facility have qualified for KIZ tax credits.
The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC serves as a catalyst for promoting growth and quality of life in Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties by providing a unique blend of business, community and economic development and advocacy services under one roof to boost our economic vitality and livability as a region.
