Nearly 300 Attend the The Pennsylvania Business Diversity Works Conference

 

NEARLY 300 ATTEND THE PENNSYLVANIA BUSINESS DIVERSITY WORKS CONFERENCE

HARRISBURG, PA (September 4, 2008) - Yesterday, nearly three hundred people attended the Pennsylvania Business Diversity Works Conference presented by Team Pennsylvania Foundation in partnership with the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry and the Central PA Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.

The conference was designed to educate corporations in creating more diversity resulting in increasing the economic growth and development throughout the region. 

"Our staff works hard to put this conference together and it's so great to see such a diverse group of attendees from across the state," stated Amma Johnson, Director of Business Diversity, Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC.  "The conference is our way of helping to educate the community on the business case for diversity."

The half-day conference featured morning and luncheon speakers, minority and women owned business exhibitors, and a series of breakout sessions focused on marketing. 

  • Keynote Luncheon Speaker - Bill Proudman, Founding Partner, White Men as Full Diversity Partners
  • Morning Speaker - Dana Chryst, CEO, The Jay Group, Inc.
