Conference Room Rededicated in Cliff Jones' Memory
CONFERENCE ROOM REDEDICATED IN CLIFF JONES' MEMORY
HARRISBURG (September 19, 2008) - Yesterday, the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC (HRC/CREDC) rededicated one of their conference rooms in memory of Clifford L. Jones, who passed away in May of this year. Jones served as interim president for CREDC on two occasions and assisted to create both the structure and culture of the current HRC/CREDC.
H. Glenn Bub Manning, Principal with The Quandel Group, Inc. and Co-Chair of the 2008 CREDC Campaign said, "Cliff agreed to serve as Honorary Chair for the CREDC Campaign knowing his health was failing, but certainly not his spirit and his support for our region and our organization. The rededication of this conference room today is a reminder that while Cliff is no longer with us, his vision for our region will live on."
The event took place in the Clifford L. Jones (CLJ) conference room at the Chamber & CREDC on Thursday, September 18th. It included an unveiling of a portrait, presented by the Jones family to the organization that will be displayed in the conference room along with four of Cliff Jones' Commissions as Pennsylvania Secretaries of Commerce, Labor and Industry and Environmental Protection and a member of the Public Utility Commission on loan to the organization. Those in attendance in the crowded conference room included Brad Jones - Cliff's son, and Carole Jones, Cliff's widow.
The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC serves as a catalyst for promoting growth and quality of life in Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties by providing a unique blend of business, community and economic development and advocacy services under one roof to boost our economic vitality and livability as a region. HRC/CREDC has been accredited with four stars from the United States Chamber of Commerce.
