CREDC Campaign Breaks the $2 Million Mark
HARRISBURG (September 23, 2008) -- CREDC Campaign Co-Chairs Jennifer Delaye, President of JDK Catering, Inc., and Bub Manning, Principal with The Quandel Group, Inc., announced today that the 2008 CREDC Campaign has reached a significant milestone with over $2M pledged, to date, toward the organization's goal of $4 Million.
"As we move steadily towards our goal, I've been very impressed to see the people and businesses of the Capital Region coming forward to support CREDC's efforts," stated Bub Manning. "It's exciting and comforting to see the continued pledges from past contributors, who've seen, first-hand, what we do and perhaps more importantly, the number of new contributors who realize how much CREDC means to the economic vitality of central Pennsylvania. I'm also seeing an increase in the number of individuals who are not only pledging their financial support to CREDC, but they also want to become an active part of something so good for our communities and business environment. Hey, where else can you get a $68 return for every dollar you invest?"
CREDC, the economic development arm of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber, kicked off its 2008 Campaign at their Annual Dinner on March 20th with an aggressive goal of $4 Million dollars to be pledged in 2008 and paid in subsequent years 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. The funds are used for the organization's Business Diversity Initiative, to help support the Murata Business Center in Carlisle- the region's business incubator, to market the region and the organization, to support required match of state programs including the Keystone Innovation Zone and to start a CREDC Endowment.
The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC serves as a catalyst for promoting growth and quality of life in Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties by providing a unique blend of business, community and economic development and advocacy services under one roof to boost our economic vitality and livability as a region.
