Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett Kicks Off Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC Pennsylvania Perspective Series
HARRISBURG (May 14, 2009) - Today, Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett, kicked-off the first event in the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC (HRC/CREDC) Pennsylvania Perspective Series. The breakfast was held at the Hilton Harrisburg.
In his remarks Corbett cited the Chamber's podium banner that states, "Everything we do is about tomorrow," using it to make the point that state government needs leadership from all elected officials who are focused collectively on the future and not individually on the next election. Corbett's thirty minute address focused on both challenges and a vision of a stronger, more economically competitive Pennsylvania going forward.
As the 2010 Governor's race begins to take shape, HRC/CREDC is offering members the opportunity to learn more about the people who may be Pennsylvania's next Governor.
"We will be holding several Pennsylvania Perspectives events through Summer and Fall," stated Dave Black, President & CEO of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC. "Pennsylvania Perspectives offers our members the chance to hear possible gubernatorial candidates' views on topics such as government reform, business taxes, business regulation, economic development. We had a great turnout today and are confident this will continue throughout the series."
The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC serves as a catalyst for promoting growth and quality of life in Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties by providing a unique blend of business, community and economic development and advocacy services under one roof to boost our economic vitality and livability as a region. HRC/CREDC has been accredited with four stars from the United States Chamber of Commerce.
