Murata Business Center Able to Assist Companies; Answer Questions About Federal Loan Programs

HARRISBURG (October 8, 2009) - The Murata Business Center, owned and operated by the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & Capital Region Economic Development Corporation (CREDC), is now able to assist companies interested in finding out more information regarding federal and state loan programs for which they may qualify.

"We felt that since we have an office in Carlisle (Murata) that it only made sense to train the staff regarding different loan programs CREDC can offer them," stated David Black, President & CEO of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC.  "Karen Gunnison, Murata Executive Director and Alex Quigley, Facilities Director have completed training in the loan programs and can help in the pre-qualification process.  From that point, Melissa McLaughlin, CREDC's Business Finance officer will contact the business and follow through with the next steps.  Since Karen and Alex are both well known in central and western Cumberland County, this will provide additional accessibility for potential loan clients or those looking for some general information on loans."

The Murata Business Center provides entrepreneurs with support services. While in the incubator, a firm receives an array of training, mentoring and counseling opportunities, and shares a number of administrative services and personnel.  For more information on the Center, contact Karen Gunnison at 717-249-2356 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
